Lest We Forget - Remembrance 2020

I wear my poppy of red, black and green

To honour those who war have seen.

Not just the fallen, but those who still stand,

And the ones who return but need a helping hand.

Parents, friends, husbands and wives,

War has affected too many lives.

Fatherless children, sisters with no brother,

I pray that today will not take another.

Today I wear my poppy with pride,

To remember those serving and those who have died.

We owe a debt too great to repay

For our tomorrow, they gave their today.
